The Florida Trail Association: Background and Updates

The Florida Trail Association builds, maintains, protects, and promotes the unique Florida National Scenic Trail (Florida Trail), along with a network of hiking trails throughout the state of Florida. Together with their partners, the Association provides opportunities for the public to contribute to meaningful volunteer work, engage in outdoor recreation, and participate in environmental education. Doors open at 6:30. Free and open to the public.

Our speaker will be Kelly Wiener-Interim Trail Program Director
Kelly is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she earned a BA in Environmental Studies. She developed a passion for working outdoors after studying abroad at a biological research station in Costa Rica and interning at the Lake Champlain Land Trust.
After graduating, Kelly completed a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Boston City Hall. She then went on to manage a regional food access program at a non-profit in Upstate New York before starting with the FTA in 2016.
